Not a bad weekend at Kimbolton for the Maxxis TKM Festival 2016. I managed to get into the Elite Final group, the top 34 out of 51 drivers. I finished 25th in the elite final, which makes the 25th best out of 51 drivers. That was my last TKM Festival in the Junior class, as from 2017 I will be moving Senior TKM. There are only 4 more rounds left of the HKRC Club Championship. TV coverage will air on 5th September 2016 at 7.30pm on Motors TV and will also be on Youtube. Another year has come around again for the Maxxis TKM Festival. It will be at Kimbolton, and I will be competing there this year, 12th-14th August 2016. After the British Grand Prix F1 2016, there was a two day test at Silverstone. I went to this official Formula 1 test. I meet Valtteri Bottas, Jordan King, Pascal Wehrlein and many more of the Formula 1 crew. I had a great time, as this was after the Kimbolton race meeting the weekend just gone.

July: 1st: My Prom at my secondary school

I turned up in a BMW 650i  convertible. Had a great time.

5th: Royston Rockets BMX summer series race night.

9th: Choi Kwang Do Grading, unfortunately I miss practice at Kimbolton.

10th: HKRC Kimbolton round 7

12th-13th: Formula One Silverstone Testing

17th: Royston BMX Regional Race

This weekend at the East Anglian Trophy Meeting wasn’t the best at all. Saturday, was disappointing as I had no raw pace to compete with, which was embarrassing. I scored 101 points on Saturday, throughout the day I couldn’t find the right setup which meant, I had no pace to compete with the top 5. Sunday, was a bit than Saturday with scoring 102 points. However, mechanical issues was the main let down for me. In Pre-Final, on lap 6 I was forced to retire from the carburettor unscrewing itself, which caused a lot of air going into the engine and then switched off the engine. This situation resulted in a DNF, so for the Final I had to start at the back of the grid. In the Final I climbed to 8th with a bad setup and with a shower of rain in the last 3 minutes of the final...

I couldn’t have asked for better result at Ellough Park Raceway on my debut at that track. Being 2nd quickest really shows the pace I had for the weekend. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to have the outright pace to win because a lack of setup of the track. I will be out next at Kimbolton for the East Anglian Trophy Meeting and hopefully would like to bring home a trophy from the weekend.

I’m next out at Ellough Park Raceway, on 21st May. This will be the first for me at Ellough Park, as I have never been there to race, so it will be a great challenging experience for me. I hope to bring a trophy from Ellough Park. I am limited on my racing for the next month because I am doing my GCSE’s this year, and education is top priority for me at the moment, after the exams I will be racing more.

Unfortunately, at the April race meeting I suffered from Carburettor issues throughout the weekend. But gained 85 points from the weekend. I will be next racing at Ellough Park Raceway, Nr Beccles. I have decided to race at Ellough instead of Kimbolton because there is no race at Kimbolton in May. However, I am thinking of doing a test day before the next event, it really depends on budget and time.
